Head Trainer

Bella Mae

Hi, I’m Bella Mae, the owner & head trainer of Wild Mae Dog Training. What started as a love for my own dogs has grown into a career dedicated to helping families build stronger, happier relationships with theirs.

My two dogs, Maggie, a Golden Retriever, and Yeti, a Husky, are my daily inspiration and training partners. They’ve taught me patience, creativity, and how important it is to tailor training to each dog’s unique personality.

My professional journey began right after graduation, when I started working at a doggy daycare. That hands-on experience gave me a deeper understanding of canine behavior and sparked my interest in training. From there, I went on to work with another training company, where I was able to learn, grow, and refine my skills alongside experienced trainers. To further my knowledge, I completed coursework through Penn State, ensuring that I bring both practical experience and proven expertise to every dog I work with.

I created Wild Mae Dog Training with a simple mission: to give dogs the skills and confidence they need to thrive, and to give owners the peace of mind that comes with having a well-mannered companion. Through my board and train programs, I work hands-on with every dog to create lasting results, so life at home feels calmer, easier, and more enjoyable.

When I am not training, you can usually find me out on the trails with Yeti and Maggie, exploring new places, or continuing to study the latest in canine behavior. Wild Mae Dog Training is more than just a business to me. It is a way to share the joy that comes from having a balanced, confident dog who truly feels at home in your family.

Our Facility

At Wild Mae Dog Training, your dog’s comfort and safety come first. Our board and train dogs stay in a custom-built  facility designed just for them. Located right on the head trainer’s property, providing a safe, home-like environment where dogs can relax, learn, and feel at ease during their stay. This setup allows for around-the-clock care and attention, so every dog feels like part of the family while they train.

Our Training Approach

At Wild Mae Dog Training, we use balanced training methods to create well-mannered, reliable dogs. This approach combines proven techniques from both traditional and modern training styles, allowing us to reward good behavior while also setting clear and fair boundaries. By using a mix of positive reinforcement and appropriate corrections, we help dogs understand exactly what is expected of them.
